- How long involved in Photography
- My introduction to photography started as a young woman in Chicago, Ill in the late 50’s. The world of modeling, display and merchandising as a career I was pursuing, brought about the importance and need for a good camera, setting and lighting.
More importantly though, I learned it was the eye behind the camera. that could create the photo or the masterpiece. Personally, I believe, it is a skill that little is known about- even today- and I do not believe it can be taught in a single class...it takes lots of experience and passion. . . . . . .you just have a good eye and perception of what you want to say with the camera
- Explain Photographic interests
- I prefer photography that deals with life. . . faces, with lines - skin tones - settings that tell a story...people walking in the rain, setting on a bench with a good book and sun setting background...I especially love photography of live concerts: the musicians the stage setting, the lighting, and their connection with the audience. The look of awe and enjoyment they are experiencing during the concert....A moving leaf, a waterfall.....

- I am a simple, uncomplicated woman who is finally in a position to enjoy the artist in her being...My family is grown, and I have to say, my first love is music. Many of my drawings happen while I enjoy listening to music that moves not only the soul but the body... .a live Rock Concert (Pink Floyd or Alan Parsons) or a dramatic piano concerto - what ever the moment I feel is what I listen to...Celtic Music, Alternative Rock....Symphony, Striestand....
I have always been fascinated by the seduction and harmony of line and space, black and white. The experience I try to convey, is to soothe, distract, and entertain the mind's eye, and sincerely hope the viewer experiences this, just as I do while creating my art. My drawings have a connection with water, life, energy, birth and space in time. Like life, they evolve and are constantly changing
Music helps me create the art by .having a creative moment with pen and ink in hand….another drawing…another moment…it so relaxes me.
I fell in love with a man I never met a long time ago – his name was Picasso My drawings are somewhat influenced by his works…but I never sketch anything …..I start with a simple line and just let it happen…I never know what I am going to end up with…I just know at one point I look at it and like it and feel it is done.
The rest of my life is filled with family and friendships I hold very dear…I love sunny fall crisp days, a good movie that tends to be sentimental, live music, and just fun conversations...

How would I describe my works?
These drawings are all original works, created with Pen & Ink - mostly drawn on Strathmore watercolor acid free, heavy weight cold press. I have posted one piece that is framed,to give the viewer and idea of what to expect as the finished art piece. They make a wonderful wall decoration, in sets of two or more.
They are all part of what I call "Abstract Moments", drawings that I create in moments I take, with pen in hand. . . they all have an abstract influence, and no two are alike. I let the viewer describe what they see in the drawing they like...not what I think it should be - thus the reason for no individual titles...
